WHAT A WONDERFUL FIND... REALLY RARE... EVEN ON EBAY! We have up for auction a wonderful antique - 1800's - tooled leather over wood - trunk.This trunk has a tooled leather top and all the original hardware.The top and sides have metal bindings with brass buttons every three inches.The entire chest measures: 28 inches long x 16 inches wide x 15 inches tall. The inside is lined with a thin paper material.It has four (4) supportive bands that are one inch wide and go around the three sides of the trunk and are decorated with the brass buttons.It has nice thick leather handles on both end that are still very sturdy and intact.The chest has the original lock still on it, but the key is missing.We have had 2 local antiques dealer offer us $500.00 already for this wonderful antique, but we have an idea it's worth far more than that.What a great addition to any antiques collection. ** IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTE ** : Securely boxed and shipped via Fed Ex, it measures: 30 inches long x 18 inches wide x 17 inches tall @ 40 lbs.
