Up for bid is an old bayonet. I found it with things that belonged to my Great Grandfather. He was in the Civil War. He was in the 8 th New York Heavy Artillery. The length of the three sided part is 17 inches the total length is 19 1/4 inches. The inside diameter at the end is ¾ of an inch. The only markings I can see is that there is US stamped at the base. It has some rust spots on it from being in the cellar for so long. I didn’t try cleaning it. If you have any questions, I’ll try to answer them. Thanks for looking.. I ship only within the US …
