Antique 1800's Victorian 14k 585 Yellow Gold Pierced Turquoise Earrings.. RARE!! Estimated Antique Shop Value: 2000.00+ 6.6 Grams total weight not including backings Size and Measurements: The earrings from top to bottom measure just under 1 and 1/4 inches long. Details of Style & or Stones(s): This is the oldest and most beautiful set of Victorian earrings that i have ever seen in my life! It is nearly impossible to find gold jewelry from the late 1800's, this type of jewelry usually is only found in museums. This beautiful pierced set of earrings features 14k Yellow Gold enveloping turquoise. Most of the turquoise during the Victorian age came out of mines owned by Tiffany and Co and thus was very expensive and VERY high quality! The turquoise featured in this set of earrings includes a more Blue top stone with cloudy white matrix to contrast the bigger tear drop stone on the bottom that is green and light green in color with spiderweb black Iron pyrite matrix mixed throughout the stones. The beautiful stones would of been imported in to the custom jeweler during the late 1800's and then hand cut into the desired shape and style that the customer wanted! The stones are wrapped in 3 and 4 prong setting for extra security. The backside of the earrings are open backs for that extra special look! Again i cannot stress how rare
