Antique 1800's Victorian four piece bedroom set. It has the headboard & footboard & side rails, wardrobe, 2 over 2 Marble top chest with swivel mirror, and marble top washstand with swival mirror. This set is absolutely beautiful as you can see from the pictures. It has several handwritten things and one paper tag attached by nails. Written are the words"M. Oppenheimer" "Durham NC" "F G May" "Peterburg Va," and scratched through is "Oxford, Va." The tag reads " James" and "Ridge" the rest is torn off. The set is in great shape considering its age and we believe it is mahogany. The washstand has different knobs than the rest of the pieces and is missing a small piece of veneer trim at the top right as you can see from the pictures. It in no way takes away from the gorgeous set. The set has normal wear for anything over 100 years old but I personally think it looks great! Judge for yourself by the pictures. This is a rare find and must be picked up at our home. Anyone who would like may come and look at the set before bidding is welcome. I will add the picture of the wardrobe by Sunday - it is gorgeous also!!!
