This auction is for a wonderful rare antique wagon and horse team pull toy from the 1800's. It is in very good shape for its age and does have wear from being played with over the years so please look carefully at the photos. The wagon is made from wood and the horses are wood covered in a black burlap type material with leather harnesses and what looks like real horse hair attached. The wagon had been repainted with a dark green paint when I purchased it, but luckily I was able to carefully dry scrape it and the original paint was virtually intact underneath! I did not scrape the platform to the horse team and will leave that up to the buyer if you desire to do it. The harnesses are intact for hooking up the horses to the wagon. The front harness that hooks to the tongue needs reattached to the other horse, but the ring is there and holds the tongue of the wagon. The wood platform for the horses has metal (iron?) wheels. The wagon and horses measure overall 26 in.long by 6 3/4 in. wide by 10 in. tall. The wagon by itself is 11 in. long without tongue, (25" with tongue) by 10 in. wide wheel to wheel. Horses are 11 in. long. It looks like it may have had a driver at one time that sat on the wagon seat, but unfortunately it is long gone.
