DESCRIPTION: Handcrafted in Philadelphia in the 1820's, this is an exquisite example of nineteenth century craftsmanship, made by a proud artisan who signed his work.......t is a detail photo of the mark below. Just imagine, this tea kettle has been used for almost 200 years and is still perfectly utilitarian, as well as decorative, with a beautiful dovetail seam around the bottom. The trim around the opening at the top is brass, as is the stunning handle. T is one small dent and a few tiny dings on the shoulder, the copper lid still fits snuggly and the handle is in MINT condition. The simplicity of this kettle is the magic that makes it such a gorgeous and valuable piece and it will add equal grace to your collection or your kitchen.
