Okay....you've never seen anything like this before, and you probably never will again. This is a genuine Waltham 1870s-1880s hunter's case ladies' pocket watch in WORKING condition. It is hallmarked 14K gold, and the carving on both sides of the case is absolutely amazing. It features tiny birds, leaves and flowers on the front that are not only carved, but they are also colored in regular gold, green gold, pink gold, and BLUE gold. The back of the watch has a medallion in the center, and the same carved, colored leaves and flowers all around. The slide is also gorgeous - it is square in shape, carved, and features three red cabochon stones, and three seed pearls. I do think that the slide and the chain are from a much later date than the watch itself - possibly the early 1900s. The pictures don't come anyw near showing how beautiful this piece really is! The chain measures 27" long X 2 because it is doubled. The chain is hallmarked 1/10 on the clasp. The watch measures 1 & 1/2" round, and it is marked: American Waltham Watch Company, 9087479, Safety Barrell, Guaranteed, Essex, 14K, Superior. It has a chronomoter, and the fast and slow setting on the inside has a red cabochon stone in the top of it. The slide measures 1/4" square. I cannot stress enough just how magical this watch and chain are. It is in near-perfect condition, read more
