This auction is for an antique 1860-1880 beautiful cylindrical music box made in St. Croix, Switzerland, by Paillard Vaucher Fils (PVF). The wood box measures 18" L x 9" W x 6½" T. It comes with an inlaid top with flowers and musical items. The winding handle is on the right side. The inside has an 12" x 6½" hinged glass window. There is a lock, but NO key. The box is in good original condition with nicks and scratches all over the box. But there are no cracks or replaced wood. The musical movement has a 6¾" cylinder, 6" comb with 56 teeth that plays 6 tunes. The partial tune sheet is glued to the lid. It has the serial number 96107. There is 1 tooth and 2 tooth pins missing. The box is functional, but plays way out of tune, perhaps the comb is not set correctly? It is operated with a start/stop and change/repeal levers, neither works, you have to start it manually. Due to all the flaws and poor working condition we are selling this box as is for parts and repairs and not in working condition. No Partial Refunds - Due to an overwhelming number of request for partial refunds we can no longer accept any requests other than for a FULL refund and return of item. No exceptions. Thank you. Please note: All of our items are bought second hand. If you have an allergy or aversion to smoke smell or pet hair, please don't purchase because read more
