ANTIQUE 1870'S DOLLY MADISON CHINA HEAD DOLL 18 INCHES! Midwest Estate Buyers is excited to bring to you an excellent find from the the 1870's!! Up for auction we have an excellent example of a Dolly Madison China head doll! This doll comes from a lot that we recently purchased that includes other vintage and antique dolls, along with antique toys and other great finds. Please check our listings daily so you don't miss out on these great items!!!! Up for auction, we have antique doll with a tinted bisque unmarked DOLLY MADISON head. The face has painted blue eyes, blushed cheeks, closed lips, red accented eyes, and nostrils. Her hair is molded, black, with all over curls, and molded/painted black ribbon that ties on the top front where it forms a bow. Her head is a Dolly Madison China head doll, circa 1870's. This doll is in excellent condition with some wear on the back of her head, as seen in the pictures! The head height is 4 1/2" and is 4" across the shoulders, with hair & face being in very nice original condition. Her body is cloth with china arms and legs. There is no crazing that I can see on the arms, legs, or head. Her china legs have painted on green boots and red tinged bows at the top, as seen in the photos. She is wearing lace bloomers with a lace trimmed petticoat. Her gauzy dress has staining, and some rips, as seen in the photos. I am not sure of the age of the clothes or if they are original to the doll. Please see all photos carefully to get a better idea of the condition of the doll and clothing!
