Selling a original antique Cram`s New Sectional Map of Colorado Published by Geo. F. Cram & Co. This map is from 1871. The map when folded up is 5 1/4 iches by 3 1/2 inches. The condition isn`t the best. The cover is torn loose from the map and mice have chewed up the lower right corner in to the map. When folded out the map is 29 inches by 34 inches. The map when folded out looks really great. The chewed areas of the map area the far Eastern part of colorado, there wasn`t much there at that time. The areas of Denver and that is not damaged by the holes. There are 3 areas that are missing from where the mice have chewed, I have pictured 2 of them. I can send more pics if you are interested in seeing more pics of the map. The right edge has been chewed and if you follow those three spots you will see where the three large holes are in the map. Follow those three area to the next fold they too have small holes. Other than that damage the rest of the map is great condition. There are one or two more holes in the map where the folds and creases come together. The upper left corner is printed.... Cram`s Sectional Map of Colorado , Drawn & Engraved from the latest Government Survey`s by Geo. F. Cram & Co , Proprietors of the Western Map Depot ,148 Lake St, Chicago Ills 1871 12 miles to one inch. There is some writing in pencil about trip to Denver and Kansas City, breakfast..etc. Inside front cover is advertising about his Western Map Depot...Sectional maps...etc. From what research I have done , Geo Cram`s Co burned in the Chicago fire of 1871 and all was destroyed. This Map came of of my collection of antiques I`m selling, and is from a farm sale in Hancock County, Illinois. Email me if you have any questions, need more pictures.
