The map is printed on thick paper, the map is 4 pages and any side would frame and display beautifully. The first page is Babylon, Town of Babylon, Suffolk Co. the next 2 pages is a large and gorgeous map titled Part of Huntington, and Babylon, with inset map of Commac, on the main map I see Breslau, babylon PO, Amityville Po, Deer Park PO, Half way Hollow Hills, and more. The last page is Smithtown, with inset maps of Smithtown Branch and Smithtown, on the main map I see Meadow Glen, Saint James PO, Smithtown Branch PO, Smithtown PO, Hauppauge Po and more. The The maps are very detailed, with the named period home and land owners, named railroads, size and locations of buildings, the named roads, named businesses, and much more, the detail is amazing. The gorgeous handcoloring on the map is period to the map, this is before color printing. The map is from the very rare 1873 Beers Atlas of Long Island New York. The map is a fascinating and historic period look at this area at this time. The photo wont show the full beauty of the map. The map is in nice shape and would frame and display quite beautifully.
