Very early antique Hendryx brass bird cage-- this is in fact the earliest I have been able to find, with the latest patent date being June 27, 1876. Lovely pagoda style cage of brass wire with brass base and top. Bottom secures through wire slats with moving tabs. Original perch inside is made of wood with brass ends that secure on brass wire. Original milk glass feeder fits between wire. Bottom of milk glass feeder reads "Pat Oct 74". Measures approximately 20" in height.
