Antique 1878 Original Oil by Listed Italian Artist Bartolomeo Pagani (19th Century, Italy). Beautiful Portrait of a Lovely Young Woman which reminds me of famous painting, "The Girl with the Pearl Earring". ***(see more info below)*** Oil on Canvas in an antique partial Gesso Gold painted frame.Signed in the lower left corner "B. Pagani, Roma Via Dell Croce" Signed again on the back of the frame " Bartolomeo Pagani, Roma Via Della Croce, 78" That would be 1878 & Via Della Croce is a street in the heart of Rome, Italy. (Please note: the last picture has had the color & saturation altered to enhance the writing on the frame) . Frame 15.6" x 12.5"Art 12.5" x 9.5"1 pound, 14.6 ounces total. Condition Report:Overall good condition, with minor wear & there is a small section of staining on the back of the canvas, which does not effect the painting.The painting is in need of a cleaning & there are areas which seem to have a bit of crusty paleness, but I think it just needs to be cleaned.There may be touch ups which are undetected by me, I am not a professional art dealer.I removed this inner frame from a larger damaged frame, so the sides are not finished. *** This appears to be an original 19th century (1878) copy of the Guido Reni portrait of Beatrice Cenci . ***"The acclaimed young girl, who along with other family members was sentenced read more
