~ ANTIQUE CROWN FLUTING IRON ~ AMERICAN MACHINE CO. PHILADELPHIA, PA. ~ LAST PAT. MARCH 25, 1880 ~ This is an old CROWN FLUTING IRON that was used to crimp, ruffle, and press pleats into starched fabric. As you see, it is in old, used, worn but very SOLID condition...the wood handle is worn and iron did have some rust on the base but it has been sand blasted and cleaned up. The pat. dates are on the front and are worn away some from it's age. All moving parts turn freely and everything works. The CLAMP on the side is for tighting iron to the counter when in use. On the bottom is.... AMERICAN MACHINE CO. PHLILADELPHIA, PA. A neat old item to decorate your VINTAGE HOME and ANTIQUE KITCHEN with!! it is with NO RESERVE . Thanks for looking.
