Antique 1850s ORIGINAL Mary Gregory Footed Tumblers
Boston & Sandwich Glass Co This is a genuine antique pair of Goblets/Footed Tumblers painted by Mary Gregory dating to appx 1880. These pieces can be attributed to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. They depict the Mary Gregory Children of period dress and actually have some color which is quite unusual. They area beautiful green glass with some small air bubbles in it that denotesit as genuine Victorian glass. Further, one of the Goblets/Tumblers does have some ash within the glass further dating it. See pictures. These goblets are made of very heavy glass with a subtle swirled panel pattern. T is no wear to the paintings on either goblet. The rims and base both have gold gild but 1 of the goblets shows wear on both rings w the other shows very little wear. T are broken pontils on both pieces. They are in excellent condition with no chips, dings or cracks. Each measures 7" (18cm) Tall x 2-2/3" (7cm) Wide at the Rim and 3" (7.5cm) at the base. I am listing 2 other pairs that went with this set as well as a pitcher with a large hairline crack on one side-although still firm and holds water (which unfortunately happened due to poor packaging by the seller who sold these to me).
