ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH c1890 A really nice pocket watch in a nice condition by H.Samuel Manchester The movement is in good working order keeping reasonably good time. As with all vintage watches, no claims are made regarding accuracy of time keeping. Vintage watches may need servicing, even if they are in good running condition, and unless otherwise stated they may need to be cleaned, timed, oiled or adjusted. Key winding and Key set both function smoothly. c/w key but not original The Silver case measures 50mm diameter approx, it is in a good condition, nice engine turning on the back.some wear and pocket watch scratches little dents, as you would expected for a used watch of this age (see photo). On the inside of the case it has 0.925, imported hallmark for London,with initials inside T.F.S. in a triangle and the letter P with the initiIals G.D 29385 (see photo) On the dust cover of the movement it has H.Samuel's Patent Barrel, Acme Lever Patent Balance, on the movement it has No14528 H.S Oktb 5th 1895 H,Samuel Patent Balance, Patent Barrel, Swiss, MANCHESTER. The hinges are good for a used watch, all covers close as they should.
