Antique 1895 Flat Top Steamer Trunk with Tray and Leather Straps. Purchased at an Adirondack Estate Sale as displayed as is and I have left it that way. Flat Top Canvas Covered Steamer Trunk with Hardwood Slats. The corners are trimmed with leather and tacking, and the lip, corners and latches are made of steel. The lock and the plate are brass plated. Leather straps and buckles still remain on front adding lots of character and charm. Leather strap keepers are still in place on front and on lid. Ornate slat clamps in place. End caps and leather straps in place which is rare after all these years. Chain replaces stay to keep lid open when neccessary. Trunk is in good condition after all these years with the usual age and use patena. Measures 33 wide by 21" tall by 20" deep. 2 rollers on bottom. Built in lid lifts above latches which is a sign of a well made trunk. Very nice addition for your collection. Thanks for Looking!
