Breathtaking watercolor on ivory wafer miniature portrait of Queen Mary Scott in ivory bone frame. 1700s, per appraiser and unsigned as many fine portaits remain. Take a close look at the extraordinary fine detail to the lace and the jewels, and facial features-just stunning! The frame is quite old so note the slight separation to the seems, very difficult to notice but we have a high resolution camera so it is more enhanced. Measuring 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" , portrait is 4 x 3 1/4". Portrait remains in excellent condition with normal loss to the bottom from its advanced age. There are no cracks or repairs to this fine work of art and it has a loop for wall hanging. Ready to grace your home for many more years of pleasure!
