This is a gorgeous antique painting. All original, this incredibly stunning and most beautiful oil painting dates to the early 1900's! This antique beauty is an oil painting on canvas that has been nailed to an old wooden stretcher,and features gorgeous cabbage roses, rosebuds and green leaves! A most rare round oval Victorian oil painting, this piece also features a beautiful and original gold gilded beaded and scroll work gesso frame! This is a large painting and would definitely make a most feminine and romantic statement anywhere it is hung! In excellent condition for its age, this gorgeous antique rose painting has some very, very minimal chipping, no holes, rips or tears. The frame, which is gorgeous also, does have some damage with missing pieces to the gesso border. However, this is the most perfect example of shabby chic!! The artist was most talented and truly captured the romantic beauty of the Victorians favorite flower, the rose! The rare shape of this beautiful painting also adds to its romantic beauty and appeal!
