A BEAUTIFUL AND ALL ORIGINAL RARE HALL MARKED MANS 1901 SOLID SILVER WALTHAM "TRAVELER" ENGLISH POCKET WATCH WATCH WITH AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING MINT WHITE DIAL. CASE: This is a beautiful MANS SIZE stunning solid THICK silver watch case. The case shines superbly after a light polish.the case back has quite a few dings and a few light scratches. It has no personalizations to the back. The case is in nice used condition. The case measures a large 4.7cms In diameter excluding the crown, and a healthy 1.2 cm in depth. The back cover opens well , and the hinge is good and tight with no play in it. The absolutely lovely hall marked solid silver dust cover is in very good condition, with only slight wear, and has no personalizations. The inside of the rear cover is hall marked for solid silver (BIRMINGHAM 1901). The watch weighs 103.4 grams including the movement, that is a lot of silver value! DIAL: This is an absolutely stunning and near mint snow-white signed "WALTHAM " dial. It has a lovely sub second dial which is in mint condition. The blue steel hands are also in mint order. It has black hand painted roman numerals which are in excellent condition with no wear whatsoever evident to the numerals which are majestically crisp and very sharp. The outer black hand painted minute track is also in minty condition. The dial itself is absolutely beautiful, with no apparent hairline cracks and just a few very minute dirt marks only seen under 10x magnification.. This is a really lovely and brilliant white dial in excellent order. The crystal looks fairly recent, and has some very light scratches (not evident to the eye). Pocket watches with this standard of dial are very rare to find!! MOVEMENT: This is a beautiful and fully signed jeweled lever movement. It is signed "AMERICAN WALTHAM TRAVELER" and "USA". The movement number is 10336273. T is beautiful engine engraving on the balance cock of the movement which is absolutely beautiful. The watch winds smoothly and sets with the crown. The crown and the chain ring are solid SILVER and hall marked for the same. The watch runs very well, needs to be wound a few times to start, and keeps decent time It would need a service for optimum performance, and time keeping. The crown is brass, and the chain ring is silver. This is a beautiful good quality watch.Don't miss it for a couple of dollars, get your bid in NOW!
