This auction is for a used “folding sewing scissors” case, made from solid sterling silver, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1902, Sponsors’ Mark F.W (Francis Webb).The case has some small dents on the end where the scissors have been pushed in too hard at some time. It is otherwise in good condition and has an attractive age-related patina – see photos.The scissors are made from steel which have a small amount of surface corrosion.
