ITEM: Antique Lewis and Clark hardback book entitled " The Conquest " by Eva Emery Dye plus three additional items that will be described below. CONDITION: Book is in very good condition. Light wear on spine ends and corners. Light soiling on back cover. The word "Forever" is written in small letters on first blank end page. Name is written on inside back cover. T is a small stain on inside back cover. Pages are lightly yellowed with age. Otherwise no marks, stains or writing. All pages present, clean and firmly attached. DESCRIPTION: The first edition was published in 1902 by A. C. McClurg and Company. This copy was published in 1911 by A. C. McClurg and Company. Contains 443 pages and is about the Lewis and Clark expedition. Contains a frontis illustration of a painting made especially for this book. In the acknowledgment at the beginning of the book the author acknowledges "obligation to the Lewis and Clark families, especially to William Hancock Clark of Washington, D.C., and John O'Fallon Clark of St. Louis, grandsons of Governor Clark, and to C.
