This is a wonderful, Antique 14K SOLID Gold Pin from HAHNEMANN HOSPITAL in Rochester NY!This pin has the number 50 on the front, (in addition to the words, Hahnemann Hospital Rochester NY)...see images...making me think that this is a 50 year service pin....In the center of this pin is the year 1904!!!!---The back of this pin is engraved with the name, ANNA B. DUDLEY....! In looking on the web...I found the following description about Hanemann hospital.....Hahnemann hospital was known as "the rebel on the hill" because of its then radical conviction that patients should be cared for as people, instead of as interesting specimens of illnesses or collections of symptoms. Highland Hospital has a rich history of sponsoring pioneering medical research and a proud legacy of excellence in health care education and patient care. This pin has been carefully TESTED and it Tests for 14K Solid gold...It weighs about 3 grams!The Pin and catch on this item are not gold,...see images...This item measures about 7/8" x 1" or so...This pin is in Excellent Condition! I Can locate no areas of missing metal, no dings dents or major scratches.... I LOVE The way that it is engraved..., and the surround for the star that the 1904 is engraved on looks to be a BELT form!...see images...---you can just make out the buclke to the left of the number 50! read more
