Offered for auction is this neat old vintage antique 1914 AVIATION MAGAZINE titled; " AIRCRAFT " VOL. 5 No. 6 AUGUST, 1914 - 25 Cents a Copy - Published Monthly by THE LAWSON PUBLISHING COMPANY , 37-39 East 28th Street, New York, U.S.A.. Magazine measures approximately 9" by 12", and just shy of 1/8" thick.Front cover features an illustration titled; THE SLOANE 110 H.P. FOUR-SEATER FLYING BOAT - Just Before Starting a Trip in the New Sloane Flying Boat. Testing the Motor Before Making the First Successful Trials at Steinway Beach, L. I. . " We recently purchased a large number of these vintage AIRCRAFT Magazines, as well as a large number of another vintage magazine titled AERIAL AGE WEEKLY . They contain very early Aviation articles of interest pertaining to World War I, Military, Aircraft Engineering, Motors, Engines, Bi-planes, Monoplanes, Aeroplanes, Sea-planes, Manufacturers, Construction, Balloons, Dirigibles, Zeppelins, History, Models, Pilots, Flying, Training, Government Regulations, etc., etc.. Shows overall general wear and soiling from use, storage and handling, with some light moisture stains to the edges of all the pages, yellowing and foxing to the pages from age and exposure, and the as to be expected various wrinkles, light stains, corner folds and a few small tears here and there, but no other major rips, tears, folds, markings or damage that we can see.
