!'s a great estate find! It is a beautiful Sterling Silver presentation cup! It is made by the Gorham Silver Co. The cup was presented to Grace D. Gregory, for a price Student Agriculture award in 1915. It was etched by the Spaulding & Co in Chicago. It has a wonderful AG design - Corn, Gourds, and pumpkins. The handles have what looks to be grapes on the vine. I tried to get a clear picture of the inscription (I hope you can see it well enough). But just in case you can't it says - Presented by The Chicago Tribune, to Grace D. Gregory, Prize student in Agriculture, Cook County Public Schools, Division no. 2, 1915. It was very tarnished when I found it, so I cleaned it up a bit with Never Dull (just the outside). The inside is still as I found it. It will need a professional cleaning. I tried to get a good pic. of the hallmarks on the inside of the stem, but I couldn't get a clear shot. It has the lion mark, the ankor mark, and a G for Gorham. It also says Sterling. It measures 9 3/4" to the top of cup and 10 1/4" to the top of the handles. The cup is 6" wide and about 6 1/2" deep. The stem base is 3 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" wide. I weighed it on my postal scale and it weighed 1 lb 11 ounces! Worth a lot in just scrap weight! Please e-mail if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
