The Art Deco Era is famous for being the "Gatsby" or "Roaring Twenties" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period.Precious coral is harvested almost exclusively in the Mediterranean off the coasts of Italy, France, Spain, Algeria, and Tunisia. Mediterranean & Salmon Coral has widely been valued as the rarest and most beautiful of all Coral types. During the Art Deco Period only the richest of the rich could afford to have this form of coral harvested and imported into Europe and North America.This Mediterranean coral in this piece is beautifully rounded and show cases a stunningly smooth polished surface. The coral in this piece is a gorgeous red color that is beautifully solid throughout and features an intense color saturation that you only see in the highest quality of corals. The Mediterranean Coral is in great condition and graduates slightly in size from 4 mm in diameter at their smallest to 7 mm in diameter at their largest.The Mediterranean Coral beads are strung on a salmon orange dyed string that matches their color and supports them perfectly.
