WELCOME to our site* Today for your consideration,and offered at No Reserve, we have for you an* Antique Dresden Plate Quilt in Gorgeous Pastels* It is handquilted at 10-12 spi. The measurements are 57&1/2 in.x80 inches which is a nice sized Twin or could be used on a Full or Queen bed as a coverlet*The entire quilt is made with beautiful period prints of the 1920's and the thin batting is all cotton straight from the cotton field. When held up to the light you can see how the cotton has thinned overtime and you can feel cotton seeds in some places. The plates measure fifteen inches and the seperately applied 1/4 inch edge trim is the same lovely color pink as the reverse. The ground is white and the handquilted florals throughout the quilt are esquisite and the tiny handstitching is meticulous. T is some surface soil and five tiny stains(one is pictured)that should easily lift out with a good oxy soak :o) On one area along the edge(shown in photos) t is discoloration that again, should lift out with an oxy soak. The areas that need repair, if you wish to do so, are at both the top and bottom ends of the quilt w the petite pink floral *Ice Cream Cone Border blocks have some wear from being tucked under the mattress. The two sides of the quilt border show no wear!! I found six individual blocks in different plates that also show some wear. NONE of the wear are holes that go through to the reverse!! You would just need to replace the blocks. The edging has not frayed and tis quilt is very clean although I have not laundered it. The fabric is still strong and sturdy and this quilt could be used as is should you choose not to repair it. For it's age I consider this quilt to be in Wonderful Condition** The colors are all pretty pastels and show *Bright and True with some age perfected fading! They include Reds, Pinks, Greens, Yellows, Blues, Orange and more! This beautiful quilt will be absolutely gorgeous anyway you choose to use or display it. I apologize for the full shot photo* The enhanced system stopped working as soon as I tried to adjust the contrast. I will gladly email it to anyone that asks.
