We are delighted to offer you this gorgeous old antique , sterling silver, exquisitely embossed floral and marcasite ring, made in the Art Nouveau era, by the Uncas Company! This beautiful ring has survived the last century with astounding resilience, and is missing none of its sparkling marcasites that are set so lavishly across the expansive top of this amazing treasure! Now, a couple look as though they might have been bounced off the door facing when Madame was vigorously engaging in arm-windmilling, but everything else is in great condition! The top features a tiered design of forget-me-not flowers, accented not only with said marcasites, but also with fine tiny beading and millegrain edging! The top has a scalloped border , so precious, and it is domed, or curved, for a comfortable fit on Madame's size 7- ish finger! This ring could be sized up, or down, 2 whole sizes by your jeweler, if need be. The top measures 1" long by 5/8" across, and its elegant design continues down the shanks! Those shanks taper gracefully from 4 mm to 2.5 mm in back, and the band is not worn or thin! And, it is fully marked and signed, ' Sterling U', with arrows pointing to the 'U'- the hallmark for the Uncas company, which was founded in the early 1900's, in Providence, Rhode Island, by Vincent Sorrentino! They were renowned for their fine finger rings, such as this, and indeed they are some of the most delightful and finest to be had! The ring weighs 3.6 grams, and is guaranteed to be a genuine antique original, and not a reproduction. Thank you for looking! :) Please note; in some pictures, the ring appears to have a golden hue- that is due to the lighting which was used to emphasize the fine detail.
