Hello & Welcome, Here's a beautiful, old bowl that's signed & dated, 1923, I believe. Please use the zoom to note the signature above the lion in the first & 10th photo's. The 10th photo also appears to have a date too. I've not yet been able to find out exactly who signed this piece but I believe it's quite rare. The bowl is extremely heavy, weighing approximately 12 lbs. This light blue colored bowl has a lion wearing a crown inside of a crest topped with a crown. The entire crest resembles that of Bavaria Schumann Germany and I believe the glass was made in Bavaria Schumann Germany. Perhaps the signature could be from one of the Schlegilmilch family members, which is the family of "R.S. Prussia/Germany" porcelain fame, and used this lion in some of their marks? The glass work design is inside of the glass as it can't be felt. This bowl is certainly worthy of royalty, it's that beautiful. And, it's much more impressive in person than in the photo's. This beautiful bowl measures approximately 4 1/2" high, 9" wide at its top and 3 1/4" wide at its base. The walls of the bowl measure 3/4" thick. It has six panels surrounding the base.
