Straight from Grandpa Cook's Kentucky home attic, this White Mountain Ice Cream Freezer made years of fantastic homemade ice cream. This is model 8XB which is an eight quart beauty. Everything is original. It still has the original wire handle, but Grandpa replaced it years ago with a sturdier copper handle. The unit is dated 1923 (patent) on the top of the freezer unit cap. He was a Mason and would use this freezer for Masonic gatherings as well as family meals. The outer wooden bucket stands 15.5" tall (not including the handle) and measures 13.5" across the top. The outer bucket has the original metal rings that hold it all together. There is some rusting as shown, but it's still a tight piece. The unit was been used for many years and was then stored, but probably still could be used to make tons of peach ice cream in the summer! Otherwise, it makes a fantastic primitive display item. This is a very heavy item as it was made the old school way with quality parts. Shipping is based on the weight of 30 lbs which is the weight of the item and careful packing materials to get it safely to your door. Due to the recent postal rate increase, we are offering several shipping options for your convenience. International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.
