Early Madame Alexander rare cloth doll. This one is Alice, she is one of the earliest Alexander dolls. I am not a doll expert so I will provide the best information I can. First her hair is yellow yarn and her head is soft cloth with the exception of her face which feels like hard plastic or celluloid with a flocked feel to it. Her features are painted on and the paint looks good. There is wear to her nose/ not terrible - but wear, never the less. Her body is all stuffed fabric and she has no tears to her limbs. She is not all stained like others I've seen. Her dress sports the alice in wonderland tag. There are stains & fray here and there on the dress. The panties are part of the dress- I have not removed her clothing. The shoes look newer to me as do the socks. I would assume the shoes have been replaced as for the socks they may be older, I'm not certain. Overall I feel she is lovely and desirable in her current state, though I have not cleaned her at all- you may have a special way of doing this.
