I am liquidating some interesting collections for an estate and will be listing breweriana, old Coca~Cola, and other rare and authentic items so be sure to view my other listings and stick with me for a few days! I will gladly combine shipping to save you $$$!

This auction is for a 1937 Coca~Cola Thermometer Sign . It measures 6 7/8 inches at its widest point and 16 inches at its longest point. The sign is made of tin in an oval shape. The edges are slightly curved backward. T are holes above and below the bottle for affixing the sign to a wall and these are original to the sign. The outside border is colored gold. The inside background is a bright red. The central bottle is embossed (raised) and colored gold. The Coca~Cola lettering is white shaded in black with TRADEMARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. printed on the lower tail of the first C. Underneath the Coca~Cola lettering is printed: TRADE MARK REGISTERED BOTTLE PAT'D DEC. 25, 1923. This is printed in gold with white shading. The back is colored a light sage green/grey.

In the center of the lower portion of the bottle is an indented oval which contains the glass thermometer. The background for this area is white and the markings are in black.

On the very bottom of the sign, on the curved portion of the border, is printed in tiny letters: W.F.R.~ 2-1-37.

CONDITION: The sign is in good condition for its age. T is a scratched area to the left of the bottle at center which I have pictured. T is some minor paint loss around the edge and at the attachment holes which is to be expected with use and which I have also pictured. A slight indentation in the metal to the left of the bottom attachment hole. The glass thermometer is completely intact and appears to be working fine. The back is in fine condition with some small marks at the same location as the scratched area on the front and slight tape residue at upper left...I'll let you remove that with the method of your choice.

PROVENANCE: This sign was part of the collection of a former Coca~Cola exec who collected only OLD Coke items.
