ITEM: This is a very nice book that was published in 1937 on Japanese kendo (sword fencing) techniques. Excellent for historical kendo study. The book is titled TEIKOKU KENDOU KYOUHON (Imperial Kendo Textbook) and was written by Kendo Hanshi Ogawa Kinnosuke. Ogawa-san was a sword fencing teacher at the Budo Senmon Gakkou. This book was apart of the curiculum at a school in Aichi Prefecture. The book covers gear, basic kamae, striking, and kendokata using real blades. T's a total of 175 pages. The condition is excellent. It measures 8-5/8 inches x 6 inches x .25 inch. It's a rare book, the only one I've ever seen used in a school. This comes from my personal collection of sword related books that I am now selling. If you're collecting, you have found the right place.
