ITEM: This is a very nice book that was published in 1940 on Japanese kendo (sword fencing) techniques. Excellent for historical kendo study. Keep in mind, some of the techniques (see the pics) are not allowed in modern day kendo. Again, the book is excellent for historical kendo study. The book is titled KENDOU TADASHII MANABIKATA (Kendo, A Proper Way to Study) and was written by the KENDOU KYOUIKUKENKYUUKAI (Society for the Study of Kendo Education). The book covers gear, etiquette, all basic kamae, striking and kendokata. T's a total of 118 pages. The condition very good, very minor signs of wear only. It measures 7-3/8 inches x 5 inches x 3/8 inch. It's a rare book, and comes from my personal collection of sword related books that I am now selling.
