Up for sale is this beautifully detailed figurine hand carved and painted in the mid to late 1940's. This beautiful statuette (along with many other items I will be listing over the next several months) belonged to a young girl with a passion for horses back in the 1940's and 1950's. This young strong looking horse is dark brown with darker brown to black tail and main, very dark brown front lower legs, white lower rear legs, and white marking down the front (the white is almost light beige-I am guessing the slight color turn is due to age), is beautifully detailed and is just a very nice piece of history. This figure has been repaired in one place-the left rear leg has been reattached at one point (photos 7 and 8-difficult to pick up on camera), the wood looks aged and has some worn paint (please examine the pictures as some of the details are quite difficult to describe). This statuette has just the one repair, looks beautiful (despite the aging it did in an attic box for the past 50+ years) and would make a nice addition to any horse lover's collection. With approximate measurements of 5 inches wide, 1.35 inches wide (at the widest point) and 5.15 inches tall, this lovely antique is 100% Authentic-GUARANTEED!
