No, Im not a Dr., but can spot a nice bag. I bought this a while ago, and its been collecting dust. I tried to do a little research but could'nt come up with to much. What I did find out, I listed below. The patent number on the bag - 2293363 means the bag was registered in 1942. I found this on a web sight that I have no affiliation with. If you would like to view it, I can email it to you. It is made of Top Grain Cowhide and has solid brass hardware. The handles are attached to the bag and have no signs of ripping. The top is a turn type lock (no key) that opens to reveal two snap closed compartments on each side of the top with a very large middle compartment. The inside has an adjustable leather strap for bottles, ect. The bottom has 9 brass "feet". Three across on the ends and the middle. I have never a nicer made bag. The bag is extremely sturdy and well built. Dimensions are 17" long, 8" wide, 12" high.
