UPDATE: I ADDED A PHOTO OF THE BOWL UNDER A BLACKLIGHT. You can see that it fluoresces due to the uranium oxide content of the glass (thus demonstrating that this is indeed genuine Burmese Glass). The picture doesn't do it justice. It's a really bright green.Up for your bidding pleasure is a super rare genuine Burmese Glass bride's bowl with original matching Pairpoint triple-footed stand in quadruple silver plate. This beautiful example of early art glass is in fantastic condition for it's age. No chips, cracks, or repairs to the glass. There is a darkened portion at the base of the bowl, which I have been led to believe was likely from the original casting of the glass as it appears to be within the glass itself. The hand painted enameling retains it's luster and is intact all around the bowl along with the gold highlight around the bowl's ruffled rim. The stand - though tarnished from age - is in fantastic condition. I have made no attempt to polish the stand, as that is a job best left to someone more qualified than I, and I also do not know if that would detract from the item's value.The bowl does not have any maker's marks on it, and from what I have read and been told, this makes it an early example of either Mt Washington or Thomas Webb and Sons art glass as neither placed any marks on their early Burmese works and they were read more
