Beautiful, rare, unique patina on this 19th Century, Oak and Cast Iron Dictionary/Bible/Book Stand. Wonderful condition for a 100+-year-old antique. This would be striking in any home or office . I keep it on display as it is shown in the pictures, which allows the wood to be seen. The only mark I can find on it is "Pat. Dec. 10, 95" in raised letters. (patented 12/10/1895)I have had this piece since 1985. I acquired it from my sister, who just lost her father-in-law. He and my sister's mother-in-law acquired it many years ago when he was in the Army. He was a Colonel in WWII, and they traveled extensively. They settled in McMinnville, Oregon, which is where I picked it up. .
