Antique 19th Century Chinese Red Silk Purse/Pouch Tambour Embroidery, DrawstringThis is a beautiful very old antique 19th century Chinese drawstring purse or scent pouch. It has a colorful tambour embroidered floral design done on bright red silk & outlined with silver metallic thread. It is about 3-1/8 inches at its widest & 3-1/4 inches tall excluding the cord drawstrings. I believe the lining is made of fabric but I am not 100% sure. The condition is fantastic considering how old it is & that it doesn't have any tears, holes, or stains ! A similar purse/pouch is shown on page 285 of "Antique Combs & Purses."This purse/pouch is being sold "as is", so please look very closely at the photos & feel free to e-mail me with your questions &/or request additional photos before bidding. For your information, I have similar tassels in other sizes that will be listed on eBay in the near future.USPS first class package shipping is $3.50. Insurance is your choice.
