ANTIQUE CHINESE SWORD AND SCABBARD
1800'S

This antique sword and scabbard are in very good condition. It was obtained at an estate sale in N.C. and I know very little about it. I was told that it was late1800's or early 1900's. You can look at it and tell it is an antique and not a cheap, modern sword. It looks like the metal parts are brass. The blade is raised in the center on both sides. T is some age discolorization and minor pitting on the blade. The brasses have not been polished. The scabbard is laquered over wood. Some of the laquer has chipped off but nothing bad. This sword is very long and can not be shipped to several countries because of its size. International bidders please contact me prior to buying. The sword is heavy weighing over 3 pounds. The blade length is approx. 35" and the overall sword length is approx. 45". I can not find any makers marks on the sword. (see photos for more details).
