Description: Dehati.1 is proud to present another attractive piece with the best compositional spacing of the "medallion and bars" chelaberd rug. The name originated from a village slightly to the south-east of Chondozoresk and dated second half of 19th century. we see single medallion design and two half circular ornaments which, if they were placed end to end would form a hexagon. In brief , the design has evolved out of the so-called dragon rugs with their overall lattice of broad serrated leaves flanking palmettes.It has a bright red field, the bluish-green of the central cross, attractive light blue elements within the central red diamond, gold-yellow used predominantly in the flower-heads, including old green, dark and light natural brown at the field. The main border has a white ground and floral crab design. Of course all colors are natural and 100% vegetal dyes. This rug is in almost very good condition for its age. Rug has full pill all over with both ends and selvages are originally complete and is in very good shape with original kilim at both ends. T is only some very small repairs (size of a quarter) which done by excellent work. Also some places of white color have been repilled which is really hard to see from the back and front. This piece of art has wonderful huge size for a Kazak rugs, the size of this village rug is; 7'-2"x5'-2". The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, shiny and handles of this rug like a dream and the design and colors is impossible to describe. This Kazak recently emerged from an exclusive private collection in Germany. I liste this rug on eBay because of many demands from my USA and international customers who want to have the best and antique piece but not the same value which offered at big auction houses. So rug is a master piece and rare, perhaps I couldn't describe that as it is , I believe you can see the all wonderful design, colors, condition and age on the images, and I hope you judge for yourself that how beautiful and gorgeous it is. The best of all I offered this rug at very reasonable price in compare with big auction houses. The value of this rug at any especial and professional big rug galleries or any international auction houses is more than twenty thousand dollars, but I put this auction for very outstanding price. I doubt that you will find others at this age, condition, and color combination for ???!!!.
