RARE ANTIQUE 19th OR EARLIER ECCLESIASTIC EMBROIDERED CHASUBLE VESTMENT & CAPE! Winning bidder please, wait for invoice to be sent!!! Up for the auction is a beautiful antique 19th century ecclesiastical cape and chasuble vestment. The crimson red damask silk chasuble is hand embroidered with "I. H. S" (Iesus Hominum Salvator" monogram and trimmed with braided golden metal lace trim. The cape is pink moire fabric also has the same golden lace trim. The cape measures 60" (152.4 cm) long and is very wide. The chasube measures 43" (109 cm) x 29" (73.6 cm). The condition of the chasuble is good- consisting with its old age - one spot with a very slight staining on the back, possible repair to the lace. The cape is not in such a good condition as chasuble- couple of holes; repair mostly in the neck area (see pictures). Please , use the pictures as a part of the condition report! This embroidered chasuble makes a beau tiful display and will be a valuable addition to any collection!
