ANTIQUE FRENCH CHESS SET AUTHENTIC COMPLETE ANTIQUE CHESS SET WITH ORIGINAL BOX , HANDCRAFTED BY ARTIST . FRANCE, c.1820s Offering to you the very finest antiques and rarest collectibles I have been collecting throughout the years travelling to many European countries. I have decided to re-decorate my entire home and are selling a wide variety of fine quality pieces from my own collection, your chance to obtain some precious treasures from the "Old World".... Description Out of my library I am selling this all original, extraordinary and high quality complete chess set with all 32 pieces. Even the original fruitwood box is there with nailed joints, which is much older than the dovetailed construction. Created with lots of detail by an artist in France around the 1820s, just look at the detailed pictures showing all the craftmanship and love that has been invested to create this amazing set. Only very few of these antique sets have survived due to the fragileness and nothing is missing, damaged or broken! The Beechwood and black Frenchpolished Boxwood surface have a beautiful rich patination built-up through the years and some minor signs of use, considered normal for a period chess set that has been played with and underlining it`s authenticity! I have only polished the surface with natural beeswax to enhance all the intricate details even more. ....it`s almost impossible to capture the true beauty in just a couple of pictures....so much nicer in real and very impressive artwork! Truly an unique and very interesting investment grade piece that will definitely attract a lot of attention in your home....display this beauty or invite your friends for a game and then just enjoy! Condition All original and very good condition. Nothing missing, damaged or broken. Beautiful glossy patinated Beechwood and Boxwood surface with lots of ancient patination built-up! Only some normal signs of wear and patination built up through the years that only underline the authenticity and add character to this very rare all original set.
