Antique 19thC English Victorian Iron Padlock Lock VR WOW, did we have a great vacation this summer. We took the kids out west - Montana, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming. If you have never been to see the Grand Tetons - you have to go. I think Wyoming is my new favorite state (then again, this prairie girl gets excited by any bump in the ground taller than an ant hill)! In between seeing the sights, I was able to get to some great sales and shops and brought home a full suitcase and two back packs full of Western Americana gems. I’ll be listing them all week, mixed in with the ton of items that I bought before leaving, so be sure to check back. I’m listing many more items during the summer, and listing on all days of the week, so be sure to check often! If you want to cut down on the number of pages that you have to scroll through, click on “gallery” under the “view as” on the upper left on top of the listings. is a 19th century Victorian Era iron padlock that is marked with a crown and the letters "VR" which I was told stand for Victoria Regina (Queen Victoria). It measures 3 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide and is 5/8" thick. I do not have a key for it - it is open and stays unlocked (I assume you need the key to lock). Excellent condition with the swing arm to reveal the lock. It's quite hefty weighing in at 1/2 a pound! I’m happy to combine shipments for you. Please do not let Ebay’s new policy of requiring electronic payments keep you from bidding. Email me if this is not possible for you and we can discuss alternatives. I have had some trouble with the Ebay shipping calculator giving people bombastic shipping rates (especially after purchase with the Ebay “Pay Now“ invoice on Parcel Post rates). I charge shipping cost, so if you think it’s too high, email me so that I can check it out, before you pay me. That being said, we pack very well, so that will add to the weight. I ship within one business day of receipt of your payment, or I will notify you otherwise. With postage rates going up and up, I am shipping more items Parcel Post. Please realize that this can mean a 2-3 week delivery, sometimes longer. As a matter of fact, this year, I’m finding the “longer” more the norm. With rates going up, less people are mailing. Parcel Post travels by land or rail and, at least in this area, packages do not leave the regional post office until they fill up a bin going in the same direction (so t’s no estimated exact number of days like you have with Priority Mail). I mail right away so it can get to you as soon as possible. Also, with the exception of the most heavy items, I will always give both Priority Mail and Parcel Post as shipping options, with Priority being first for my lighter items. Be sure you check out both rates . I will be happy to ship an item in a flat rate Priority mail box, if that is cheaper to you - as long as the item will fit well packed in the box - ask me before you bid if you think that’s the case for you. INTERNATIONAL: Shipping costs are available to mainland U.S. only. If outside, please ask me for shipping. Shipping times vary and I’ve experienced up to 8+ weeks for delivery after I have mailed internationally (and longer if it‘s stopped for inspection). Please keep this in mind when bidding. T is no USPS tracking or insurance for items mailed 1 st class international. It’s only offered by USPS for the more expensive priority mail international, which I may require for shipping, depending on the item. I will let you know when you ask me for a shipping quote.
