WE HAVE MORE PHOTOGRAPHS BELOW ITEM DESCRIPTION An antique & highly unusual 19 thC Japanese chatelaine having three graduated high relief Silver Buddha figural lockets mounted upon a silver-plated ring chatelaine with ornate hook loop terminal with chain & lobster claw catch to hold a ladies fob watch. The smallest top locket opening to reveal a miniature compass & photograph compartment with Japanese Geisha photograph; the middle locket opening having a small miniature photograph compartment with Geisha photograph with stamped ideogram seal mark & the third largest locket opening to reveal a compartment holding a tiny miniature gaming dice . We believe that these little Buddha locket boxes were brought back to Britain from Japan & mounted here on the chatelaine chain that has been custom made by a jewellery around 1900, the ornate loop is stamped "PATENT PENDING" with the centre ring stamped with a diamond shaped lozenge mark & the bottom ring stamped (SPECIAL) OVERALL CONDITION Fine - We would remind bidders that this item is antique, has been used & displayed with light associated surface wear - as shown above.
