My daughter said its time for me to learn how to sell on Ebay so bear with me. I found a fantastic Cedar Trunk of Vintage Clothes and dolls from my Grandmother. Many of the items were brought from Germany when she came to the United States and Some were gifts purchased for her grandchildren then as her health failed, forgot she purchased. My Daughter said this doll is a favorite and very HTF from Dean's rag book printed from 1903 to 1912 and is the Knockabout (Company Name for rag dolls) Doll Gibson Girl Pattern. She is clearly marked E.T. Gibson's U.S. Patent (can't read number) March 23, 1910/ Great Britain Pat. No. 7787/March 30th, 1912 on her upper thigh but part is sewn into seam so can't clearly read all the numbers. Yes My grandmother actually sewed this doll from the cloth pattern and really did an impressive job. A beautiful Gibson Girl with hazel eyes and smiling mouth, her blonde hair frames her face with wispy curls that are pulled back with imprinted red ribbon then cascade down her neck . Her arms are lithographed onto her front w she is obviously getting ready for an evening out adjusting scarf tie and neckline on her white pleated top. Her blouse is a detailed pattern with front and 3/4 length sleeves with scallop lace edges that even show shading w wrinkling would be if the outfit were not painted in place. Her read more
