ANTIQUE 22K GOLD GEORGE III 1/3 GUINEA LOCKET 1797 1800 A fabulous quality antique English, solid high carat gold (18 carat or higher) locket; with suspension loop, very capable double hinge and two solid 22 carat gold George III third guinea coins (1797 and 1800 - both are the first design of this coin, changed in 1804) as the covers, and unusually, both sides opening to reveal a locket compartment with both original bezels. A stunningly high quality, unusual and extremely wearable Georgian gold coin locket - ideal for any chain or charm bracelet!CONDITION : All original and very good. Slightest signs of wear, no damage. The coins themselves are in very good condition inside and quite worn on the outside, but I can't guarantee an accurate grading. Please enlarge the pictures for close-ups of both sides of both coins. DEFECTS : None. DATE/MARKS : Coins dated 1797 and 1800. Assembled in antiquity. Hinge engraved 'Patent'. DIMENSIONS : Locket 20 mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
