Offering this charming olde Miss Korn Krisp Doll! This 26" doll was created from a pattern offered to advertise Korn Krisp Cereal which was introduced in 1901. The doll maker would cut out the doll and stitch it together and stuff it with whatever material they could find, therefore you'll find this doll to be entirely hand stitched! The hair and stockings are oilcloth, it looks like the doll maker customized her by making the shoes from knit fabric, as you could use whatever you wanted for the shoes. They were smart enough to create a knit crotch to lend strength to the doll, as cloth has a tendency to tear in this area.She does have some repairs and condition issues. She is in need of some repairs also.She comes with various clothing as seen in pics. The clothing does have some stains and condition issues also.Miss Korn Krisp is over 110 years old! The cereal that this doll advertised is long gone, but the doll lives on -- as such the cloth has aged and shows some stains and condition issues. What a survivor Miss Korn Krisp is! I'm sure the gal who sent away for the pattern and took the time to create her with so much love, would be proud to know her work has withstood the test of time and in the hands of another admirer of dolls.She gets one shot at selling, I will not rerun this auction. So bid now or lose her forever.
