This one is an oldie indeed! The original owner happened to be an ancestor of mine and she made this quilt for my grandmother way back in the early 30's for a wedding gift. After her passing we found the quilt in a blanket chest and was amazed at how well the condition of this piece was. It was used but was taken very good care off and then placed in the blanket chest and has been t for many years. It measures 84 x 63 inches in size and is all hand sewn. It has alot of beautiful pastel colors inside the stars. The condition for it's age is excellent. T is one teeny tiny small area that needs some mending but only a real teeny small area. No bad rips or tears and no missing threads. The underside is a navy blue color but has got some minor fading from most likely hanging over a clothes line from the past. It is in very clean looking condition with no nasty odors or bad smells and was non smoker owned. I think the bidder will be pleased. My ancestor had quite a few quilts in that chest and we have kept alot of them but just don't have anymore room for the rest. So we will be selling more as we go! All sales are final!
