This wire rug beater is in very good condition. The handle has some normal wear and tear due to age but is in great condition. It has a rope type tied to the metal loop at the end of the handle to hang it up. The handle with the end loop (excluding the rope) is just over 5" long. The total length of the rug beater is approximately 36" (including rope). It is 34" without the rope. The widest part of the rug beater is approximately 9".
